Chili:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 pound 90% lean ground beef
- 2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder*
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin

- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 (15 oz.) can petite diced tomatoes
- 1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Instructions
- Cook the Onion: Add olive oil to a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Cook the diced onion for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Brown the Beef: Add ground beef to the pot, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook for 6-7 minutes until browned.
