Ingredients
Scale
Lobster Tails
- 4 lobster tails
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Garlic Herb Butter
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon thyme, minced
- 1 teaspoon rosemary, minced
- 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Lobster Tails: Preheat your oven to broil or 500 degrees F. Using kitchen shears, butterfly each lobster tail by cutting down the center shell lengthwise. Gently loosen the meat inside and pull it upward so it sits on top of the shell. Season the exposed meat with salt and pepper and place the lobster tails on a baking sheet.
- Make Garlic Herb Butter: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, thyme, rosemary, and parsley until fully combined and fragrant.
- Apply Butter and Broil: Evenly brush the garlic herb butter mixture over each lobster tail, coating all exposed meat thoroughly. Place the baking sheet under the broiler and cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until the lobster meat turns opaque and develops a lightly browned top.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with additional melted butter for dipping if desired.
Notes
- Be careful not to overcook the lobster tails to maintain their tender texture.
- When butterflying the lobster, take care not to cut all the way through the shell.
- Fresh herbs enhance flavor but dried can be substituted if necessary.
- Serving with lemon wedges adds a refreshing citrus zest.
- Broiling times may vary depending on your oven; keep a close eye to prevent burning.
