Description

A delightful and flavorful recipe for Orange Glazed Salmon that combines the natural sweetness of orange juice and honey with savory tamari and garlic, creating a perfect glaze for pan-seared salmon fillets.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon:

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon filets (Alaskan Sockeye or Coho)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Glaze:

  • 1 orange, juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons tamari
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon arrowroot flour
  • 1 teaspoon water

Instructions

  1. Prepare Salmon: Pat salmon dry, season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat avocado oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Cook salmon for 3-4 minutes on each side.

  3. Make Glaze: Mix arrowroot powder and water to create a slurry.
  4. Transfer cooked salmon to a plate. Sauté garlic in the pan for 30 seconds. Add orange juice, honey, tamari, thyme, and arrowroot slurry. Whisk until slightly thickened, about 1-2 minutes.

  5. Finish Dish: Return salmon to the pan, coat with glaze, and serve.
