Ingredients
Romaine Lettuce:
2 large heads, prepared according to Notes below
Red Onion:
1/2 medium, thinly sliced
Pepperoncini Rings:
1/2 cup
Black Olives:
1/2 cup, sliced
Provolone:
1/2 pound, sliced and cut into ribbons
Salami:
1/2 pound, sliced and cut into ribbons
Cherry or Grape Tomatoes:
12 ounces, halved
Black Pepper:
Freshly ground
Italian Vinaigrette:
as needed
Instructions
- To serve the salad already dressed: In a large salad bowl, combine lettuce, red onion, pepperoncini, olives, provolone, salami, and tomatoes. Drizzle with Italian Vinaigrette, toss gently, season to taste, and serve.
- To serve the salad with dressing on the side: Combine all ingredients in a bowl and serve dressing separately.
- To prepare in advance: Make vinaigrette ahead. Prep salad ingredients, store separately, then assemble when ready to serve.
Notes
- Use a mandoline for uniform onion slices.
