Description

This Hot Cocoa Dip is a creamy, fluffy dessert dip that combines cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and rich cocoa flavors. Perfect for dipping cookies, strawberries, and graham crackers, it’s a festive and indulgent treat that comes together in minutes without any cooking.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup Marshmallow Fluff
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons hot cocoa mix (from about 4 [1.38-oz.] packets)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

For Serving (Optional)

  • Whipped cream
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Holiday sprinkles
  • Oreos
  • Graham crackers
  • Shortbread cookies
  • Peppermint sandwich cookies
  • Whole strawberries

Instructions

  1. Beat Cream Cheese and Marshmallow Fluff: In the large bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese and Marshmallow Fluff on medium-high speed until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
  2. Add Cocoa Ingredients: Add hot cocoa mix, heavy cream, and unsweetened cocoa powder to the bowl. Beat on low speed until just combined, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Mix Until Smooth: Increase the mixer speed to medium-high and continue beating the dip until smooth and all the cocoa mix has fully dissolved, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Serve: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. If desired, top with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and holiday sprinkles. Serve alongside cookies and strawberries for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature to ensure a smooth dip.
  • You can adjust the amount of hot cocoa mix to intensify the chocolate flavor.
  • This dip is best served fresh but can be refrigerated and brought back to room temperature before serving.
  • Try different types of cookies or fruit for dipping to customize your dessert.
  • The dip is naturally gluten-free if served with gluten-free dippers.
