- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 chicken drumsticks, skins removed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
Oven-Baked:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the honey, brown sugar, water, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and olive oil.
- Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Place the chicken in a single layer in a greased baking pan.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear.
Instant Pot:
- Mix together the honey, brown sugar, water, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and olive oil.
- Pour the sauce into the Instant Pot and set it to SAUTE mode.
- Allow the sauce to cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the chicken drumsticks to the pot and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Secure the lid and set the Instant Pot to MANUAL mode for 15 minutes.
- Once cooking is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick-release any remaining pressure.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can use chicken thighs or bone-in, skin-on chicken pieces instead of drumsticks. Adjust cooking time accordingly.
- For a thicker sauce, reduce the amount of water or simmer the sauce on the stovetop for a few minutes before using.
- Serve with your favorite sides, such as rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
