Description

This Halloween Popcorn recipe combines crispy popcorn with creamy white chocolate and festive candy pieces to create a delicious and easy treat perfect for Halloween parties and celebrations. The sweet, crunchy popcorn clusters are coated in melted white chocolate and studded with colorful M&M’s and Halloween candy, with optional drizzles of colored chocolate and sprinkles for an extra festive look.

Ingredients

Scale

Popcorn Base

  • 810 cups popped popcorn

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup white chocolate, melted

Candy Mix-ins

  • ½ cup M&M’s (or your favorite candy bar, chopped)
  • ½ cup Halloween candy, chopped if needed

Optional Toppings

  • Colored melted chocolate wafers (for drizzling)
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate coating: Melt 1 cup of white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler until smooth and fluid.
  2. Combine popcorn and chocolate: Place 8-10 cups of popped popcorn in a large bowl. Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn and gently stir until the popcorn is evenly coated with the chocolate.
  3. Add candy mix-ins: Stir in ½ cup of M&M’s and ½ cup of chopped Halloween candy pieces into the coated popcorn mixture until well distributed.
  4. Arrange and decorate: Line a baking sheet with wax paper and spread the popcorn mixture into an even layer on top. If desired, sprinkle additional sprinkles or drizzle with colored melted chocolate wafers for decoration.
  5. Set and break into pieces: Allow the popcorn mixture to cool and harden completely at room temperature. Once set, break into bite-sized pieces for serving.

Notes

  • Use plain, lightly salted or unsalted popcorn for best results.
  • White chocolate can be substituted with milk or dark chocolate if preferred.
  • Colored melted chocolates are optional but add a festive Halloween touch.
  • Store popcorn bars in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain freshness.
  • This recipe is quick and requires no baking or stovetop cooking.
