Description

This Espresso Mocha Crunch Mocktail is a delightful blend of rich espresso, smooth chocolate syrup, and fizzy soda water, topped with a lightly sweetened whipped cream and crunchy Oreo cookie crumbles. Perfect for a refreshing caffeine boost without alcohol, this mocktail offers a creamy, chocolatey, and crisp texture ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Mocktail Base

  • 4 oz. espresso, chilled
  • 3 oz. chocolate syrup
  • 3 oz. soda water

Whipped Cream Topping

  • 2 oz. heavy cream, chilled
  • 2 tsp. confectioners’ sugar

Garnish

  • 5 Oreo cookies, divided

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mocktail Mixture: In a cocktail shaker, combine the chilled espresso, chocolate syrup, and soda water. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes very frosty. This chills and blends the ingredients well. Divide the shaken mixture evenly between two coupe or martini glasses.
  2. Make the Whipped Cream: In a medium bowl, whisk the chilled heavy cream and confectioners’ sugar until soft peaks just barely form. This ensures a light, airy whipped cream that isn’t too stiff. Spoon the whipped cream over each mocktail, smoothing the top gently with a spoon to create an even layer.
  3. Prepare and Add Oreo Garnish: Crush 3 of the Oreos finely using your fingertips or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing them with the bottom of a glass or rolling pin. Sprinkle the crushed Oreos over half of the whipped cream topping on each glass, adding a crunchy texture. Gently twist open the remaining 2 Oreos, and attach one half to the side of each glass for an attractive garnish.

Notes

  • Use freshly chilled espresso to keep the drink cold and vibrant in flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of chocolate syrup to suit your sweetness preference.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream.
  • Serve immediately to maintain the fizz from the soda water and the crispiness of the Oreos.
  • Use a cocktail shaker with a tight seal to avoid spills during vigorous shaking.
