Description

These festive Easter Blondies are a chewy and delicious treat that’s perfect for celebrating the spring season. Loaded with colorful M&M’s candies, they’re easy to make and sure to be a hit with both kids and adults.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups M&M’s candy (any variety)

Instructions

  1. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  2. Add Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  3. Fold in Candy: Gently fold in the M&M’s candies until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  4. Prepare Pan: Line a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool and Cut: Remove the blondies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan before cutting into 16 squares.

Notes

  • You can use any type of M&M’s candies you like, such as milk chocolate, peanut butter, or even mini M&M’s.
  • For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of melted butter.
  • To prevent over-browning, tent the blondies with aluminum foil during the last 10-15 minutes of baking.
  • Store leftover blondies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
