Description

This Dinner Roll Olive Bread is an easy and flavorful recipe that’s perfect for any occasion. Frozen dinner rolls are layered with Kalamata and green olives, oregano, and Parmesan cheese, then baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen dinner rolls (such as Rhodes)
  • 2 tablespoons Kalamata olives, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons green olives, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2/3 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Layer Rolls and Olives: Grease a loaf pan with cooking spray or olive oil. Place a layer of frozen dinner rolls in the pan and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Sprinkle with half of the chopped olives. Add another layer of frozen rolls, then top with the remaining olives, oregano, and the remaining olive oil.
  2. Rise: Cover the loaf pan with plastic wrap and let the rolls rise in a warm place for 3-4 hours, or until doubled in size.
  3. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Sprinkle the top of the risen dough with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown. If the top browns too quickly, cover with foil for the last 10 minutes of baking.

Notes

  • Dinner Rolls: You can use any type of frozen dinner rolls you like.
  • Olives: Feel free to use different types of olives, such as black olives or Castelvetrano olives.
  • Cheese: You can substitute Parmesan cheese with another hard cheese, such as Asiago or Romano.
