Description

This Crispy Roasted Cauliflower recipe is a delightful blend of bold seasonings and gooey melted cheese. It’s the perfect side dish or snack that’s packed with flavor and texture. Roasted to golden perfection and topped with sharp white cheddar and parmesan, this dish is hard to resist. Serve it fresh from the oven for an irresistible treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Cauliflower and Seasoning

  • 1 large cauliflower, cut into small florets
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp chili pepper
  • Fresh ground black pepper, to taste

Cheese Topping

  • 8 oz sharp white cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 oz parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or foil to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Season the Cauliflower
In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower florets, olive oil, Old Bay seasoning, chili pepper, and freshly ground black pepper. Toss everything together until the cauliflower is evenly coated with the seasonings.
  3. Roast the Cauliflower
Spread the seasoned cauliflower florets evenly over the prepared baking sheet. Ensure there is space between the florets so they roast evenly. Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast the cauliflower for 25–30 minutes, flipping the florets halfway through to achieve an even golden-brown crisp on all sides.
  4. Add the Cheese
Remove the roasted cauliflower from the oven and sprinkle grated sharp white cheddar and parmesan cheeses evenly over the florets. Return the baking sheet to the oven for approximately 5 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
  5. Serve Hot
Transfer the cheesy roasted cauliflower to a serving dish and enjoy immediately while it’s hot and crispy.

Notes

  • To add more flavor, sprinkle the roasted cauliflower with a dash of smoked paprika or garlic powder before roasting.
  • If you’re looking for a healthier option, reduce the amount of cheese or use low-fat varieties.
  • This dish pairs well with spicy mayo or ranch dressing for dipping.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain the crispiness.
