Description

This Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip is a light and refreshing alternative to traditional ranch. Creamy cottage cheese is blended with fresh dill, garlic, and seasonings to create a tangy and flavorful dip that’s perfect for vegetables, crackers, or chips. It’s a quick and easy appetizer or snack that’s both healthy and delicious.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 3 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (more to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper (more to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons cold water (more if needed)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the cottage cheese, fresh dill, garlic clove, salt, and pepper to a food processor.
  2. Process: Process until you reach your desired consistency. For a chunkier dip, process briefly. For a smoother dip, process longer.
  3. Adjust Consistency: Add the cold water and process a bit more to combine. Add more water, 1 tablespoon at a time, to adjust the consistency to your liking.
  4. Serve: Transfer the dip to a bowl and serve on a platter with fresh vegetables and crackers.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of salt and pepper to your taste.
  • For a smoother dip, blend longer.
  • Use fresh dill for the best flavor.
  • Store: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
  • Freeze: Freeze in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight or on the counter for a few hours.
  • You may use dried dill in place of fresh. Use 1 teaspoon of dried dill.
  • You may use garlic powder instead of a fresh garlic clove. Use 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.
