Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 14 oz (400 grams) desiccated coconut
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
For Coating
- 1/3 cup extra desiccated coconut
Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: Place the 14 oz of desiccated coconut into a medium bowl. Pour the entire can of sweetened condensed milk over the coconut. Using a spatula, thoroughly mix until all the coconut is evenly coated and a sticky mixture forms.
- Form Balls: Scoop approximately one tablespoon of the coconut mixture and roll it between your palms to form a smooth ball. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used up.
- Coat Coconut Balls: Roll each coconut ball into the extra 1/3 cup of desiccated coconut to give the outside a nice coating and texture.
- Chill: Place the coated coconut truffle balls on a tray or plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
Notes
- Use sweetened condensed milk straight from the can for best results and sweetness.
- If you prefer, substitute sweetened condensed milk with a vegan condensed milk alternative to make it dairy-free.
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or a pinch of salt to the mixture before rolling.
- Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- These truffle balls can also be frozen for longer storage and thawed before serving.
