  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 to 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup cherries, fresh or frozen*

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8-by-8-inch pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray; set aside.
  2. Melt the butter: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter for about 60 seconds.
  3. Mix the ingredients: Add the brown sugar to the melted butter and stir to combine. Add the egg and vanilla, mix well. Stir in the flour and salt until just combined.
