Description

This Chicken Alfredo Ravioli Skillet is a quick and easy weeknight meal that’s ready in just 20 minutes. Tender ravioli, creamy Alfredo sauce, and diced chicken come together in this flavorful and satisfying dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked and diced chicken breast
  • 2 cups chopped spinach (optional)
  • 24 ounces cheese ravioli (fresh or frozen), cooked and drained
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 15 ounces Alfredo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

Homemade Alfredo Sauce Option:

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 6 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pinch grated nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cook Ravioli: Cook ravioli according to package directions and drain. Set aside.
  2. Sauté Mushrooms and Garlic: Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, mushrooms, salt, and pepper. Sauté until softened.
  3. Make Alfredo Sauce: Stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth. Whisk in Alfredo sauce (or use the Homemade Alfredo Sauce ingredients and instructions below).
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add cooked chicken, ravioli, and spinach to the skillet. Simmer for 2 minutes, or until heated through and spinach is wilted.
  5. Serve: Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve immediately.

Homemade Alfredo Sauce Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a saucepan, combine milk, heavy cream, butter, and cream cheese. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly, until smooth.
  2. Thicken with Cheese: Remove from heat and whisk in Parmesan cheese and nutmeg until smooth.

Notes

  • Use your favorite type of cheese ravioli.
  • For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the Alfredo sauce.
  • If you don’t have fresh basil, you can use dried basil.
