These Cheesesteak Style Sloppy Joes are a delicious twist on the classic sandwich, combining the flavors of a Philly cheesesteak with the comfort of a sloppy joe.

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Vegetable Mix:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce and Cheese:

  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 4 ounces beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 4 slices white American or provolone cheese

Serving:

Instructions

  1. Cook Ground Beef: Heat a sauté pan over medium heat. Brown ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper, then set aside.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: In the same pan, sauté onions and bell peppers until browned and onions are translucent.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Return beef to the pan, add garlic, worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Cook briefly.
