Description

Big Mac Casserole is a delectable twist on the classic burger, featuring all the flavors you love in an easy-to-make casserole dish. With layers of seasoned ground beef, potatoes, veggies, and a special sauce, this comforting meal is sure to be a hit with your family.

For the Casserole:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup white onion, diced
  • 2 russet potatoes, diced (about 4 cups)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, drained well
  • 1 green pepper, seeds and stem removed and diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup homemade Special Sauce

For Topping:

  • Shredded romaine lettuce
  • Additional diced white onion, dill pickles, sesame seeds, diced tomatoes, extra drizzle of Special Sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef and Onions: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced white onion and ground beef until the onion is translucent and the beef is browned.
  2. Prepare the Casserole: Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a casserole dish, combine the diced potatoes, green pepper, chopped pickles, and diced tomatoes. Once the beef is cooked, drain well and mix in the Special Sauce. Add the beef mixture to the casserole dish.
  3. Bake: Sprinkle sesame seeds over the casserole and mix everything together. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour until the potatoes are tender.
  4. Top and Serve: Remove from the oven and add your favorite burger toppings along with an extra drizzle of Special Sauce. Serve hot and enjoy!
