Description

A flavorful and satisfying beef and pepper rice bowl featuring tender ground beef sautéed with colorful peppers and aromatic seasonings, served over rice for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Vegetables

2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 jalapeno, diced

Meat and Seasonings

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional

Cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Melt Butter: In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat until fully melted and shimmering.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and jalapeno to the pan. Cook for approximately 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender and fragrant.
  3. Add Ground Beef: Push vegetables to the side of the pan and add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Drain Excess Fat and Return to Pan: Carefully drain any excess grease from the pan if necessary, then return to medium heat.
  5. Add Sauces and Seasonings: Stir in the soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly and cook for another 2-3 minutes until flavors are well combined.
  6. Serve: Spoon the beef and pepper mixture over cooked rice. Garnish as desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • Feel free to add additional vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini for more variety.
  • Adjust the soy sauce for saltiness according to your preference.
  • This dish pairs well with a side of steamed broccoli or a fresh salad.
