Description

These Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are a delicious and flavorful appetizer or main dish that’s perfect for any occasion. Tender chunks of chicken are marinated, skewered, and air-fried to perfection, then coated in a sweet and spicy Bang Bang sauce.

Chicken:

  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1 1/4 cups (290 g) mayonnaise
  • 2/3 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha, or more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the cubed chicken breasts, oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to evenly coat the chicken.
  2. Skewer the Chicken: Thread 4-5 chicken cubes onto each soaked skewer.
  3. Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey. Set aside half of the sauce for later.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Air fry the skewers at 400°F for 11-12 minutes, flipping halfway through until fully cooked.
  5. Coat with Sauce: Drizzle or brush the cooked skewers with the reserved Bang Bang sauce.
  6. Serve: Plate the skewers and enjoy while hot.
