- 8 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs

- 3/4 cup BBQ sauce, divided (1/2 cup for marinating, 1/4 cup for basting and broiling)
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in a bowl and pour ½ cup of the BBQ sauce over them. Mix well to ensure all pieces are coated. Set aside while preheating the oven, or for deeper flavor, refrigerate and marinate for up to 4 hours.
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to make cleanup easier.
- Arrange and Bake Chicken: Place the chicken thighs skin-side down on the lined baking sheet. Reserve any remaining BBQ sauce in the bowl. Bake for 25 minutes to begin rendering the fat and cooking the meat through.
- Flip and Baste: Carefully flip the chicken thighs so they are skin-side up. Baste the top of each thigh with the BBQ sauce reserved from the bowl. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 25 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize around the chicken.
- Broil for Finish: Set your oven to broil. Baste the chicken again with the remaining ¼ cup of BBQ sauce, then broil for 3 to 5 minutes until the BBQ sauce darkens and caramelizes beautifully. Watch closely to avoid burning, removing the chicken if it becomes too dark.
