Description

This Avocado Deviled Eggs recipe combines creamy avocado with classic deviled eggs for a fresh and flavorful appetizer that’s easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Eggs

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs

Filling

  • 1 avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 tbsp red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Eggs: Cut the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl. Arrange the egg white halves on a serving platter for filling.
  2. Mix Filling: Add the avocado, lime juice, finely chopped red onion, cilantro, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the mixing bowl with the egg yolks.
  3. Mash Ingredients: Use a fork to mash all ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring all flavors are well combined.
  4. Fill Egg Whites: Spoon the avocado and egg yolk mixture back into the egg white halves. For a more decorative presentation, use a piping bag to pipe the filling.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Top with extra red onion and cilantro as garnish, then serve immediately and enjoy your fresh avocado deviled eggs.

Notes

  • You can prepare the hard-boiled eggs a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to assemble.
  • The lime juice helps prevent the avocado from browning, but the deviled eggs are best enjoyed fresh to avoid oxidation.
