- 12 medium flour tortillas (soft taco size)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush a 9×13 inch baking dish with some of the melted butter.
- Prepare Filling: In a shallow dish, combine sugar and cinnamon. Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces using a knife.
- Fill and Roll: Lay a tortilla flat and spoon 2 tablespoons of the chopped apple pie filling down the center. Roll up tightly.
- Coat and Arrange: Brush the rolled taquito with melted butter and then roll it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place the taquito seam-side down in the prepared baking dish. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
- Bake: Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Serve warm with caramel sauce, if desired.
Notes
- Tortillas: Use soft, medium-sized flour tortillas for easy rolling.
- Baking: Keep an eye on the taquitos while baking to prevent over-browning.
- Storage: Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for crispiness.
- Variations: Add chopped nuts or raisins to the apple pie filling for extra flavor and texture.
